A 54-year-old man, accused in the lynching of a Dalit migrant worker from Chhattisgarh, was found dead near his home in Kerala's Palakkad district.
The man, who was out on bail, is suspected to have died by suicide, according to police.
He was among nine persons arrested for involvement in the lynching of Ram Narayan Baghel, who was beaten to death by a mob on suspicion of theft in December 2025.
The Special Investigation Team (SIT) had challenged his bail in the High Court, following protests by the migrant worker's family.
