A 43-year-old man has been arrested in Kerala's Idukki district for allegedly murdering his mother and elder brother and burying them in their home's compound.
The accused, Saji, has been held on charges of killing his brother Reji (48) and his mother Marykutty (70) in the first week of April.
Police exhumed human remains from the compound after a complaint from Marykutty's daughter Sini, who claimed her mother and brother were missing.
Saji has confessed to committing the murders, citing reasons including property dispute and mental harassment.
The police will also probe the missing case of Marykutty's husband, an evangelist who has been missing since May 2018.
