Assembly elections in Kerala will be held on April 9, with votes to be counted on May 4. The election is expected to be a contest between the ruling CPM-led LDF and the Congress-led UDF.
The LDF has been ruling Kerala since 2021, winning 99 of the 140 seats. The UDF has been trying to regain power, but the LDF has maintained an upper hand in assembly bypolls since 2021.
The LDF plans to focus on its achievements in infrastructure, industry, health, and education sectors, while the UDF hopes to capitalize on the allegations against CPM leaders in the Sabarimala theft case and the government's overdependence on the Kerala Infrastructure and Investment Fund Board.
The BJP-led NDA is also gearing up for a better show, planning its campaign around the slogan 'Maarathathu Maarum' and showcasing the contributions of the Narendra Modi government to Kerala.
