Imphal, Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh called for banking sector and development institutions to work together to build a prosperous state.
Speaking at the launch of the 'State Focus Paper 2026-27', he emphasized the importance of inclusive growth and strong institutional credit support for development at the grassroots level.
Singh highlighted the state's potential in sectors like horticulture, fisheries, and handloom, and urged banks to support Farmer Producer Organisations, rural start-ups, and self-help groups.
The state government is committed to working closely with the banking sector to improve credit absorption capacity and project implementation.
