Meet the Diverse Cabinet of Team Vijay: A Mix of Youth and Experience

The nine ministers sworn in alongside Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay in Chennai on Sunday showcase a diverse mix of youth and experience. From a doctor and a lawyer to seasoned politicians, TVK's cabinet takes shape, leveraging Vijay's mass appeal among the youth.

Among the nine ministers, Anand, the party's general secretary, brings significant weight to the cabinet. A 61-year-old seasoned politician, Anand is dubbed as 'Vijay's long-time close aide.'

R Aadhav Arjuna Rajendran, the son-in-law of 'lottery' King Santiago Martin and AIADMK MLA Leema Rose, is a prominent businessman and former basketball player. He emerged victorious from Villivakkam constituency and is the former deputy general secretary of VCK.

KG Arunraj, 46, is a doctor and civil servant-turned politician who served various states, including Tamil Nadu, Bihar, and Maharashtra in the Income Tax department. He joined TVK after taking voluntary retirement in 2025.

KA Sengottaiyan, a seasoned politician and 10-time legislator, is the senior-most in TVK at 78 years. He was expelled from the AIADMK and now serves as the chief coordinator of TVK.

R Nirmal Kumar, 44, is self-employed and has a BE, LLB, and a Master's in Criminology and Police Administration. He served in the digital wing of both AIADMK and BJP and is known for his aggressive digital campaigning.

Rajmohan Arumugam, 39, is an actor, stand-up comedian, television anchor, and director who emerged victorious in Egmore (SC) assembly segment. He appeals heavily to the urban youth and provides cultural translation necessary to engage Gen-Z voters.

TK Prabhu, 41, won from the Karaikudi assembly segment and hails from a farmers' family. He is a dentist by profession and has been active in social welfare through his medical profession and TVK's outreach programme.

S Keerthana, 30, is the youngest and lone woman minister, a multilinguist who dubbed as the first woman MLA from Sivagasi assembly constituency. She is an undergraduate in Mathematics and postgraduate in Statistics from Central University in Puducherry.

P Venkataramanan, 48, is TVK treasurer and belongs to the Hindu brahmin community. He is a lawyer by profession and has secured M Com, LLB, and MBA. He emerged victorious in the Mylapore assembly segment, a Brahmin-influenced constituency.
