Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called upon all citizens to join hands to overcome the challenging situation emerging due to the ongoing fierce war in West Asia.
Addressing his monthly radio broadcast 'Mann Ki Baat', Modi cautioned those politicising the present crisis, saying there is no place for self-serving politics in the prevailing situation.
He urged citizens to remain vigilant and not be misled by rumours, and to trust only the continuous information provided by the government.
Modi also expressed gratitude to the Gulf countries for providing assistance to over 1 crore Indians living there, and noted that West Asia is a major centre of India's energy needs.
The PM said that despite the global turbulence, India's global relations and strengths have enabled the country to bravely confront the circumstances.
Modi has spoken to several world leaders since the conflict started, including those from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, Iran, France, Israel, and Malaysia.
