Monalisa Bhonsle, a Prayagraj Mahakumbh 2025 sensation, has sparked controversy with her marriage to Farman Khan in Kerala. The 18-year-old, from the nomadic Pardhi community, tied the knot in a ceremony attended by prominent leaders.

The controversy revolves around Monalisa's family, who claim she married against their wishes. Her father alleges that some individuals lured her to Kerala with promises of film work and acting training, and she married one of them instead.

Monalisa's family claims she was underage when she married, but the Kerala police reportedly told them she was 18 and an adult, free to marry a person of her choice.

The couple denies the marriage is a case of 'love jihad', saying all religions are the same for artists. Monalisa's family, however, is concerned about her decision and the circumstances surrounding her marriage.
