Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has been invited by the Congress high command to Delhi for a meeting on May 26, amid speculation of a power struggle within the party.

Siddaramaiah has said he hopes to remain in office for the full five-year term and will follow the party leadership's decision, while Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has also stated that he will abide by the party's decision.

BJP leader Jagannath Agrawal has accused Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge of instigating a fight between Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar, likening Kharge's actions to a monkey in Delhi.

Agrawal claimed that Congress is in a weak position and that several Congress MLAs are in touch with the BJP, adding that the party is confident of forming the government if Assembly elections were held tomorrow.
