A suspicious CCTV camera has been found near Sonipat railway station in Haryana, sparking concerns about national security.
The camera, discovered on an Overhead Equipment (OHE) wire pole, is approximately 500 meters away from the railway station.
The Government Railway Police (GRP) and Railway Protection Force (RPF) informed senior officials about the discovery, which comes days after six people were arrested in Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad for installing CCTV cameras at sensitive locations and sending live footage to Pakistan's spy agency Inter Services Intelligence (ISI).
A police team has been deployed at the site, and a 50-meter radius around the pole has been sealed off.
The camera has been covered with a cloth, and officials have declined to comment on the matter.
A special team from Delhi is expected to arrive on Tuesday to investigate the incident.
