Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has ordered officials and contractors to expedite work on Amaravati projects, following inordinate delays. Naidu expressed dissatisfaction with the pace of certain contracting agencies and pulled up officials over administrative and logistical lapses.

During a high-level review meeting, Naidu reviewed the performance of each contractor, assessing progress against targets. Officials informed him that capital projects worth ₹57,821 crore are currently underway, with ₹50,943 crore already grounded.

Naidu advised the utilisation of locally available skilled manpower to address manpower shortages and ordered officials to ensure a smooth supply of key construction materials. He also pulled up officials of the environment department for allegedly creating hurdles in the supply of gravel and sand.

The Chief Minister took serious note of recent fire accidents in construction zones and questioned the safety preparedness and accountability of contracting firms. He warned that any negligence would damage the government's image and ordered construction firms to appoint competent project managers.
