The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a charge sheet against nine individuals in connection with a grenade attack on a police station in Haryana's Sirsa last year.
The accused include Pakistani nationals Shahzad Bhatti and Sohail Ahmad, as well as arrested Indian nationals Dheeraj, Vikas, Sandeep, Vikas, Sushil, Mohammad Sijaan, and Gurjant Singh.
According to the NIA, the attack was part of a conspiracy orchestrated by Shahzad Bhatti to create terror among the people by targeting police establishments and personnel in India.
The agency said that Bhatti and Sohail Baloch recruited and radicalised the accused through social media platforms and encrypted communication channels.
The NIA also stated that Dheeraj was the principal India-based operative responsible for coordinating the attacks with local modules, and that the accused recorded the attack on a mobile phone for dissemination and publicity.
The investigation established a chain of recruitment, financing, operational coordination, procurement of explosive substances, and execution of the terrorist act by the accused acting on the Pakistan-based handler's directions.
