The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has attached a house in Amritsar allegedly linked to a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) operative in a narco-terror probe.

The property, registered in the name of the father of accused Ankush Kapoor, was seized as 'proceeds of terrorism'.

Ankush, a key operative in India of the narco-terror network, was arrested last year for his role in smuggling, transportation, storage, and distribution of narcotic substances.

Investigations revealed that the proceeds from the trafficking of narcotic substances were being used to finance and support terrorist activities in India through a complex financial network.

A total of 26 accused have been chargesheeted in the case, and the investigation is ongoing.
