A student at National Institute of Technology (NIT) Kurukshetra was found hanging from a ceiling fan in his hostel room, with police suspecting suicide.
The deceased, Priyanshu Sharma, was a third-year B Tech student in the civil engineering department.
Priyanshu had contacted a friend earlier that night, asking him to visit his room later, but his friend found the door locked and discovered him hanging when he arrived.
No suicide note has been recovered, and an investigation is ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
