The Indian embassy in Riyadh has clarified that no Indian national was killed in a projectile strike in Saudi Arabia, contrary to earlier reports.
A Saudi Civil Defense official had stated that two individuals killed in the incident in Al-Kharj city included an Indian and a Bangladeshi national.
The Indian embassy said it has been in touch with Saudi authorities regarding the issue and that a counsellor visited Al Kharj to meet the injured Indian national.
The embassy also issued an advisory for its nationals, urging them to remain vigilant and adhere to safety guidelines.
The incident occurred in a residential area in Al-Kharj Governorate, where a military projectile fell, resulting in the death of two individuals and injuries to 12 Bangladeshi residents.
The Saudi authorities stated that attempts to target civilian infrastructure constitute a blatant violation of international humanitarian law.
