The Noida International Airport was inaugurated with great fanfare as Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the region's second aviation hub. The event saw a massive turnout of around 150,000 people, including farmers, businessmen, and leaders from various parts of western Uttar Pradesh.

The theme of the celebrations was 'Brij', a distinct cultural trait linked to the Hindu deity Lord Krishna, and featured devotional singer Hemant Brijwasi's soulful renditions. The audience was also treated to performances by conch blowers, drummers, and dancers from different parts of the state.

Many visitors, including women from remote areas, were excited to witness the historic event and experience the airport's operations for the first time. However, some attendees were disappointed that there were no aircraft in sight during the inauguration.

Officials from the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority and the district administration highlighted the benefits of the project, including increased trade, investment, industrial development, and tourism. The airport is expected to bring global prominence to tourist destinations like Agra, Mathura-Vrindavan, and Fatehpur Sikri.

Locals expressed their gratitude to Prime Minister Modi for giving them the Jewar airport, which they believe will create job opportunities and increase ride options.
