The Uttarakhand State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) is conducting a search and rescue operation on the Pindari Glacier trekking route in Bageshwar district to locate a missing trekker from Noida.
Vishesh Chauhan, a trekker from Uttar Pradesh's Noida, went missing while returning from the trail on May 29.
According to officials, Chauhan had headed to the Pindari Glacier track accompanied by a local porter but got separated from him during the return journey.
The SDRF team, led by Head Constable Teeka Singh Karki, has been using rope rescue techniques to search for the missing trekker.
Although the trekker remains untraced, the search team recovered his camera from the spot and intensified the operation along the banks of the Pinder River and adjoining forest stretches.
The operation was temporarily suspended due to heavy rainfall and adverse weather conditions but resumed on Sunday as the weather showed slight improvement.
The Pindari Glacier trek is a popular and picturesque route in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand, known for its stunning views of peaks like Nanda Khat and Changuch.
