The Oscar-nominated true-story film 'The Voice of Hind Rajab' is set to release in India on June 19 after receiving a censor certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
The film, directed by Tunisian filmmaker Kaouther Ben Hania, tells the tragic story of Hind Rajab, a five-year-old Palestinian girl who was killed by Israeli forces in Gaza during the Israel-Gaza war.
Acquired by distributor Manoj Nandwana of Jai Viratra Entertainment Limited for release in India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh, the film sheds light on the human cost of conflict and the resilience of the human spirit.
Hind Rajab's killing sparked international outrage, and her story is told through her real voice recordings in the film.
Directed by Kaouther Ben Hania, the film was nominated in the best international film category at the 98th Academy Awards and has been acquired for release in several countries.
