Pakistan's defence minister Khwaja Asif has issued a stern warning to India, threatening to attack Kolkata if any 'false flag operations' are carried out by the neighbour.

The comments come after India's defence minister Rajnath Singh warned 'neighbours' against any 'misadventures', without naming Pakistan.

Asif made the remarks in his hometown of Sialkot, saying, 'If India tries to stage any false flag operation this time, then God willing, we will take it to Kolkata.'

He further added that if India plans a false-flag operation through its own men or Pakistani people in detention, Pakistan will take it to Kolkata.

The warning by the Pakistani minister comes amid the ongoing West Asia conflict, triggered by Israeli-US attacks on Iran in February.

Rajnath Singh had issued a stern warning of decisive action against any 'misadventure' by a neighbour, without naming Pakistan.

The remarks by the defence ministers of both countries come as India's Operation Sindoor continues, launched in response to a deadly terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam.
