The Pine Gas LPG carrier, carrying 47,000 tonnes of cargo, safely docked in Vizag early on Thursday, marking the fifth vessel to transport cooking fuel from the Persian Gulf to Indian shores since the Iran war began on February 28.
The ship's chief officer, Sohan Lal, and 26 crew members are in good health, according to port officials.
The Indian Oil Corp-chartered ship's arrival will boost domestic stocks of the world's No. 2 importer of LPG, mostly from Gulf countries.
Domestic output has increased by nearly 50% from pre-war levels, and commercial supplies have been reduced to shield households.
The 227-metre-long refrigerated ship sailed from a UAE port and exited the Strait of Hormuz on March 23 after being permitted by Iran.
Other vessels, including the India-flagged MT Shivalik and MT Nanda Devi, have also made the passage, with the Jag Vasant reaching the west coast offshore terminal of Vadinar on March 28.
Two more LPG tankers, the BW Tyr and BW Elm, are expected to reach Mumbai and Ennore ports, respectively, in the coming days.
