Prime Minister Narendra Modi has assured that Lok Sabha seats in South Indian states will not be reduced despite population control efforts. The total number of seats will increase to benefit states across the country.

Addressing an NDA rally in Kerala, PM Modi said false rumours are being spread that seats will be reduced in South Indian states due to population control. He assured that Parliament will take steps to ensure that its seats are fully protected.

The Parliament session has been extended to April 16-18 to take up key legislation, including amendments to implement 33% reservation for women in the Lok Sabha and state assemblies.
