PM Modi Embarks on 3-Day Gujarat Visit, Flags Ahmedabad Metro Phase 2 and Leads Somnath Temple Celebrations

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Gujarat from January 10 to 12, marking a significant three-day schedule. His visit will kick off with a visit to the Somnath temple, where he will participate in a drone show and join the 'Omkar Mantra' chanting ceremony on January 10. On January 11, PM Modi will lead the 'Shaurya Yatra', a ceremonial procession honoring brave warriors who defended the Somnath temple. He will then offer prayers at the temple and attend a public function marking the Somnath Swabhiman Parv, a 1000-year commemoration of Mahmud of Ghazni's invasion in 1026. Later that day, PM Modi will travel to Rajkot to participate in the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference for the Kutch and Saurashtra region, followed by the inauguration of a trade show and exhibition. He will also address the audience at Marwadi University, Rajkot. The Prime Minister's visit to Ahmedabad on January 11 will culminate in the inauguration of Phase 2 of the Ahmedabad metro, connecting stations from Sector 10A to Mahatma Mandir. The inauguration is scheduled for 5:15 pm at the Mahatma Mandir metro station. On January 12, PM Modi will meet with German Chancellor H.E. Mr Friedrich Merz, visiting the Sabarmati Ashram and participating in the International Kite Festival. They will then engage in bilateral talks at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar, reviewing the progress of the India-Germany Strategic Partnership, which has completed 25 years. Commenting on his visit, PM Modi noted that the Somnath Swabhiman Parv is a powerful symbol of India's spiritual tradition. The event marks a significant milestone in the country's history and cultural heritage.
