Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi met with Vedant Shrivastava, a Class 12 student at the center of a CBSE row, and mocked the insults he and his friends received.

They were called 'anti-national', 'deep state agents', and even 'Soros agents', but Gandhi laughed along and asked to 'show the faces of these terrorists'.

Vedant's case became public after he got the wrong answer sheet from CBSE as part of its on-screen marking system, and he was accused of being a 'plot to destabilise' the government.

Gandhi publicly took Vedant's side and amplified his post, and the episode fed a broader political fight over how the marking contract was awarded.
