The Congress alleged that the Centre had blocked Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi's Instagram posts featuring Tamil Nadu CM C Joseph Vijay's swearing-in ceremony, citing India's IT Rules.
However, the MeitY denied restricting Gandhi's posts, stating that it was an internal system glitch on Instagram.
Gandhi had posted a video and photos on his Instagram handle after Vijay's swearing-in ceremony, which gathered 12 million views in less than an hour.
Congress leaders questioned the restriction and alleged that the government had blocked the posts under the IT Rules.
An official at MeitY clarified that they had nothing to do with the action, and the posts were now restored.
