The 'self-enumeration' exercise for India's upcoming Census 2027 was launched in Rajasthan on Friday, allowing residents to submit their household details online.

Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Bagde formally launched the process at Lok Bhavan, urging citizens to actively participate in the national exercise and provide accurate information.

Director of Census Operations Vishnu Charan Malick said citizens can avail the self-enumeration facility on the web portal from May 1 to May 15, 2026, using their mobile numbers and required credentials.
