The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) strike entered its second day, taking a disturbing turn with two drivers attempting to take their own lives in protest of the state government's inaction on their demands.

In Warangal district, an RTC driver doused himself in petrol and set himself ablaze outside the Narsampet bus stand, suffering severe burns and being rushed to MGM Hospital.

Meanwhile, in Nalgonda, another RTC driver attempted self-immolation near the depot, but was prevented by alert police personnel and fellow workers.

Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has urged the RTC employees to refrain from extreme measures, directing ministers to hold discussions with labour unions on Friday.
