Russian Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov is scheduled to visit India this week to discuss key issues, including the West Asia conflict and bilateral ties.
Manturov will meet with top Indian officials, including National Security Adviser Ajit Doval and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, to discuss cooperation in areas such as defence, security, energy, and trade.
The visit comes as Russia has regained its position as India's largest crude oil supplier following a US sanctions waiver.
India and Russia are expected to review progress on economic cooperation, including the acquisition of five S-400 air defence systems, which India concluded a $5-billion deal for in 2018.
Manturov's interactions will also focus on the impact of the West Asia conflict on the global economy, particularly disruptions in energy supplies.
