Sonam Raghuvanshi, accused of orchestrating her husband's murder during their honeymoon in Meghalaya, has been granted bail. The decision was based on procedural lapses during her arrest and delays in the trial. The victim's family has demanded a CBI probe, criticizing the police's handling of the case.
Sonam's brother, Govind, has stated that he will not support his sister after her release on bail and that his family will not allow her to stay at their house.
Govind clarified that he met Sonam in jail only for paperwork-related matters and is not restoring their relationship. He added that if his parents decide to bring her home, he will leave.
The prosecution has vowed to continue pursuing the case, and the investigation and trial will proceed as per law.
