The Supreme Court has denied bail to YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra, who is accused of sharing sensitive information with Pakistani intelligence operatives.

The court observed that "there can be no compromise with national security" and that the allegations against Malhotra are "very serious".

Malhotra, a travel vlogger and YouTuber, is accused of passing sensitive information to Pakistani intelligence officials and was arrested last year.

The court rejected her bail plea, citing the gravity of the offence and the need to protect national security.

Malhotra is accused of meeting with an official at the Pakistan High Commission in Delhi and later travelling to Pakistan to meet with security and intelligence agencies.

Investigators claim that she used multiple social media platforms to communicate with operatives in Pakistan and exchanged video footage of strategic installations and security establishments.
