Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin has asserted that his party will not compromise on the rights of the State or federalism. Stalin, who is also the DMK President, stated that his government is committed to growth with people-first, welfare-driven inclusive governance.

Stalin's comments come as the state prepares for the upcoming assembly election, with the DMK-led alliance facing a challenge from the AIADMK-led NDA alliance. Union Minister Piyush Goyal, who is leading the NDA campaign in the state, has slammed the DMK government over the law and order situation and corruption.

Goyal has alleged that the DMK government has failed to address the issues of corruption, land mafia, and drug menace in the state. He has also challenged Stalin to publicly announce that his son Udhayanidhi Stalin will not be made the Chief Minister if the DMK alliance wins the election.

The NDA alliance, which includes the AIADMK, is seeking to win a two-thirds majority in the assembly election. Goyal has asserted that the alliance will bring good law and order, corruption-free governance, and investments to the state.
