A 17-year-old student, Sarthak Sidhant, appeared before a parliamentary panel on Tuesday to present his findings on CBSE's on-screen marking portal.

He alleged that the Central Board of Secondary Education 'rewrote rules' to favour Coempt EduTeck, a service provider with a 'shady background.'

Sidhant's blog revealed at least 15 discrepancies in the tender process, including the erasure of a 'poor performance' clause.

The parliamentary panel, led by Congress MP Digvijaya Singh, will now wait for a response from CBSE on the matter.

The panel has the authority to demand accountability and can summon officials to testify under oath.
