Janshakti Janta Dal founder Tej Pratap Yadav has openly endorsed Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi as the face of the INDIA alliance.
Speaking in Patna, Yadav compared Priyanka Gandhi to Indira Gandhi, saying she is the only one who can steer the INDIA alliance.
He launched an attack on her brother Rahul Gandhi, saying he would not be able to run the bloc.
Yadav's remark came in response to Rahul Gandhi's allegation of Nitish Kumar being "compromised" after the Janata Dal (United) chief's recent exit from state politics.
Rahul Gandhi had said Kumar left his own position, and someone else has now become Chief Minister, and questioned his motive.
This isn't the first time the Congress leader has been on the receiving end of comments that question his ability to run the alliance.
