Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka presented the state's annual budget for FY27 with a total outlay of ₹3,24,234 crore, exceeding last year's outlay by over ₹20,000 crore.
The budget aims to ensure social and economic justice for every citizen and reflects governance, with a focus on fulfilling people's aspirations through transparent and fact-based governance.
Vikramarka announced several new schemes, including the 'Indiramma Family Life Insurance Scheme' to provide life insurance of ₹5 lakh to each of 11.50 million families, and the 'Indira Soura Giri Jala Vikasam' scheme to provide solar pump sets with 100% subsidy to Scheduled Tribes.
Other key initiatives include a breakfast scheme for students, a midday meal scheme for Intermediate students, and a cashless health security scheme for government employees and pensioners.
The budget also includes the construction of 7,450 km of rural roads under the Panchayat Raj Engineering Department through the hybrid annuity mode system.
