Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) has accepted the challenge of undergoing a drug test, refuting claims that the BRS party is involved in a drug case.
Taking to X, KTR condemned the usage of drugs and stressed that anyone peddling drugs in the State will face strict punishment by the administration, regardless of their political affiliation.
He also welcomed a suggestion by Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) chief Bomma Mahesh Kumar Goud for public representatives from all political parties to undergo drug tests, setting an example for the public.
KTR warned that dragging his name into any and every drug case will be responded to with legal notices.
The challenge comes after officials said that six people, including Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MP Putta Mahesh Kumar and former BRS MLA Pilot Rohit Reddy, tested positive for drugs following a police raid at a farmhouse in Moinabad in Rangareddy district.
