The incident occurred in Madhya Pradesh's Jabalpur district when 42-year-old Harvinder Singh stole a purse on the Rewa–Itwari Express.
He is wanted in multiple states and has a history of targeting AC coaches, hiding in toilets, and frequently changing SIM cards.
Inspector Rajiv Kharb recognized Singh from a photograph of a wanted criminal and arrested him after a five-hour search operation.
