A 45-year-old man from Telangana, identified as Kuttadi Tirupati, has been taken into custody after causing a stir at the Sri Govindaraja Swamy temple in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. Under the influence of alcohol, he evaded temple security and climbed the walls, claiming he would only come down if given a 'quarter bottle of alcohol'. The incident occurred despite strict security measures in place to manage holiday crowds. Temple vigilance staff noticed Tirupati as he attempted to climb the gopuram (temple tower), prompting them to ask him to descend. Following his demands, the authorities eventually met his request and took him to the Tirupati East Police Station for further investigation. This incident follows a series of similar incidents, including a Uttar Pradesh sub-inspector being detained for allegedly crashing his car into security barricades under the influence of alcohol and an Air India pilot being offloaded from a flight to Vancouver due to concerns over his fitness for duty after being seen consuming liquor at the airport.
