West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has released the Trinamool Congress's (TMC) manifesto for the upcoming assembly elections, outlining 10 key pledges focused on welfare expansion, job creation, infrastructure development, and economic growth.

The manifesto widens the ambit of existing social welfare schemes for women, youth, students, farmers, widows, senior citizens, migrant workers, and the unemployed.

Key pledges include enhancing financial assistance for women under the Lakshmir Bhandar scheme, providing monthly financial assistance to unemployed youth, and ensuring pucca houses for all families and piped drinking water supply to every household.

The TMC has also promised to position West Bengal as the third-largest economy in India within the next 10 years, with a state-of-the-art infrastructure and logistics hubs.

BJP leaders have criticized the manifesto, calling it a tactic to fool people and alleging that the TMC's extortion rackets stand in the path of progress.

Banerjee slammed the BJP, alleging that they have imposed an undeclared President's Rule in the state and are planning to carve out a new state from northern districts along with parts of Bihar.
