Senior AIADMK leaders met with Tamil Nadu Governor Rajendra Arlekar, urging him to take action against the ruling Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) for alleged 'horse-trading.'

The move comes after four AIADMK MLAs resigned and joined the TVK, sparking a political rift within the party.

AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami has filed a complaint with the governor, accusing TVK of turning the Secretariat into its party office.

The opposition DMK has described the MLAs' resignation as 'horse trading at horse speed.'
