A coach of the Shahdol-Nagpur Express derailed in Madhya Pradesh's Seoni district on Friday, but no casualties were reported.

The loco pilot applied emergency brakes as soon as the rearmost coach derailed near Khairranji-Gangatola, preventing a possible major accident.

Railway officials rushed to the spot and detached the derailed coach from the train, allowing the Shahdol-Nagpur Express to resume its journey.

Divisional Railway Manager Deepak Kumar Gupta said a possible misalignment of the tracks may have led to the derailment.

No passengers were injured in the incident, and train services continued as per schedule.
