The National Education Society for Tribal Students (NESTS) has signed two agreements to strengthen the Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS) network.

The first memorandum of understanding (MoU) is with the Bihar government to improve the implementation of tribal residential schools.

The pact aims to strengthen coordination for planning, establishment, and monitoring of EMRSs in Bihar, with Bihar receiving financial assistance of ₹1.47 lakh per student.

The MoU also provides for a common academic framework based on the NCERT curriculum and aligned with CBSE standards.

Separately, NESTS signed an agreement with CoGrad to deploy AI-driven tools across the EMRS ecosystem, supporting over 9,000 teachers and benefiting over 1.5 lakh tribal students nationwide.
