DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin has filed his nomination for the Tamil Nadu assembly polls and declared assets worth ₹20.64 crore. This is roughly three times more than his father, Tamil Nadu chief minister MK Stalin, who declared assets worth ₹6.25 crore.
Udhayanidhi filed his nomination from the Chepauk-Thiruvallikeni assembly constituency for the second time. He declared moveable assets of ₹12.92 crore and immoveable assets worth ₹7.72 crore. He also undertook construction for ₹42.92 lakh on immovable properties owned by him.
Vijay, the chief of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, is the richest candidate with assets of ₹603.20 crore. Aadhav Arjuna, the party's general secretary, declared assets worth ₹197.52 crore.
Udhayanidhi's wife Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi owns ₹13.25 crore worth of moveable properties but does not hold any immoveable assets. Udhayanidhi reported an income of ₹10.40 lakh for the 2024-25 period while his wife Kiruthiga declared income of ₹2.92 crore.
Udhayanidhi holds a cash of ₹50,000 while his wife Kiruthiga ₹75,000. He owns a defender car valued at ₹1 crore and an Innova worth ₹23 lakh. He also owns immoveable properties including agriculture lands measuring 10.47 acre in Sunguvarchathiram and a residential property in Velachery Chennai measuring 2,400 sq ft.
