UP's Gautam Buddha Nagar to Host Mega Welfare Event for Workers on May 1

The district administration in Uttar Pradesh's Gautam Buddha Nagar is set to conduct a major welfare event on May 1, 2026, featuring various programmes related to health, education, labour, banking, and supply departments.

Key highlights of the event include the distribution of 15,000 LPG gas cylinders, the launch of additional telemedicine facilities, and the inauguration of dispensaries, medical mobile vans, and health ATMs.

Health-related initiatives include:

  • Launching telemedicine facilities at 44 locations
  • Inaugurating dispensaries/ambulance rooms at 79 locations
  • Flagging off 25 medical mobile vans
  • Distributing 300,000 sanitary pads
  • Organizing workers' health camps at 201 locations
  • Providing free medical services through 31 on-site multi-super-speciality hospitals
  • Inaugurating 25 Health ATMs
  • Launching 4 ALS ambulances
  • Inaugurating 10 blood dialysis units
  • Laying foundation stones for 5 polyclinics and 15 health and wellness centres
  • Empanelling 5 new hospitals under the Ayushman Bharat scheme
  • Setting up workers' help desks in 201 hospitals

Education-related initiatives include:

  • Inaugurating Primary School Haldoni and Composite School Chhajarsi
  • Laying foundation stone for CM Composite School, Sector-33, Noida
  • Launching 5 digital vans/buses for skill development education
  • Running skill development/additional classes in the second shift at 40 schools
  • Organizing 25 camps under the School Chalo Abhiyan

Labor-related initiatives include:

  • Inaugurating 24 BOCW / registration centres for construction workers
  • Inaugurating 43 crèches (childcare rooms)
  • Inaugurating 79 nursery rooms / dispensaries
  • Signed 15 MoUs between industry, administration, and self-help groups

Banking services will be offered in labour settlements through 26 camps, providing services such as opening savings accounts, health insurance, and awareness on financial protection and UPI.
