UPSC Clears Air on Duplicate Rank in Civil Services Exam

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has finally clarified the controversy surrounding the Civil Services Examination 2025 results, stating that Akanksha Singh from Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, secured Rank 301.

The dispute arose when two candidates with the same name, both named Akanksha Singh, claimed the rank, with one being the granddaughter of Brahmeshwar Singh, alias Brahmeshwar Mukhiya, founder of the banned militia Ranvir Sena.

UPSC released a press statement confirming the details of the selected candidate, stating that Akanksha Singh, with roll number 0856794, has cleared the exam.
