Forest officials in Uttarakhand have arrested four individuals in connection with the alleged poisoning and mutilation of two tigers in the Shyampur range. The carcasses of the two-year-old male tigers were discovered in the Rajaji Tiger Reserve buffer zone. A suspect, Alam, was arrested at the scene, while Aashiq, Juppy, and Yusuf were apprehended from the outskirts of the forest area. A total of four accused have been arrested so far, with one suspect, Amja, still at large. A departmental probe has been initiated into the incident, and Forest Minister Subodh Uniyal has warned that no act of cruelty against wildlife will be tolerated.
