New Delhi: Hari Krishan (HK) Dua, former editor-in-chief of the Hindustan Times, has passed away after a brief illness. He held senior editorial positions at prominent Indian newspapers and served as media adviser to former Prime Ministers HD Deve Gowda and Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Dua, who migrated to India from Pakistan in 1947, went on to become a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha and India's Ambassador to Denmark. He was a kind and humble man, always prioritizing his readers and colleagues.
His family, friends, and colleagues remember him as a dedicated journalist and a wonderful father. He remained active until his passing, attending weekly lunches at the India International Centre and reconnecting with old friends.
HK Dua's legacy will be remembered for years to come, and his contributions to Indian journalism and diplomacy will not be forgotten.
