Vice President C P Radhakrishnan called for perseverance and determination among students at the centenary celebrations of Andhra University in Visakhapatnam.
He observed that failures often offer greater lessons than successes and urged students to remain resilient in pursuit of their goals.
Radhakrishnan praised Andhra University for emerging as a leading institution in education and producing several stalwarts in various fields.
He expressed hope that the university would grow into a globally reputed academic centre and lauded teachers for shaping students into capable individuals.
The Vice President also praised the Andhra Pradesh government for its development initiatives, particularly welcoming Google to Visakhapatnam.
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu described the centenary celebrations as a historic milestone and emphasized the importance of universities evolving beyond degree-granting institutions.
He urged students to focus on knowledge, innovation, and startups and encouraged them to become job creators rather than job seekers.
