Vice President C P Radhakrishnan has expressed concerns that youngsters may be swayed by satirical content if positive activities and achievements are not adequately reported in the media.
Speaking at the 140th anniversary of Malayalam daily 'Deepika', Radhakrishnan emphasized the importance of 'constructive journalism' to guide society and strengthen public confidence.
He urged media institutions to give greater attention to positive developments, so that young people are exposed to the right information and role models.
Radhakrishnan's comments come as the satirical platform 'Cockroach Janata Party' gains traction among youngsters, particularly after a controversy surrounding remarks attributed to Chief Justice of India Surya Kant.
The CJP platform emerged as an online satire project aimed at addressing issues such as unemployment, exam paper leaks, and education, but has since evolved into a wider conversation on digital dissent and youth frustration.
