West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari has allocated portfolios to his first batch of ministers, including Dilip Ghosh, Agnimitra Paul, Ashok Kirtania, Kshudiram Tudu, and Nisith Pramanik.

Dilip Ghosh will handle the panchayats and rural development department, animal resources, and agricultural marketing, while Agnimitra Paul will oversee the women and child development department, social welfare, and municipal affairs.

Ashok Kirtania has been entrusted with the food and civil supplies and co-operation departments, and Kshudiram Tudu will handle tribal development, backward classes welfare, minority affairs, and madrasha education.

Nisith Pramanik will be in charge of the North Bengal development department, youth services, and sports.

The Chief Minister will retain key departments, including home affairs and finance.

This practice is not new to West Bengal, with Mamata Banerjee also retaining key portfolios in her previous cabinet.
