The strong rooms storing EVMs and counting centres have been fortified by officials, with enhanced security arrangements in place.
BJP and TMC workers clashed outside a counting centre on Thursday night, while Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee stayed near a strong room for hours.
West Bengal CEO Manoj Kumar Agarwal dismissed the TMC's allegations of "suspicious activities" in EVM strongrooms, stating that all strongrooms were properly closed and sealed in the presence of candidates, election agents, and observers.
Postal ballots were sorted in torchlight due to a lack of electricity connections, which the TMC leaders wrongly called "suspicious activities".
