Social media platform X, formerly Twitter, has resumed operations in India after a brief outage. Reports of issues with the site began on Wednesday, with users unable to access feeds and links shared from the platform.
According to Downdetector, a total of 1227 outage reports were recorded across India at 8:17pm, while over 4500 users reported an outage by 8:30pm IST.
Users in India encountered messages such as "something went wrong, try again" and "Cannot retrieve posts at this time. Please try again later" when attempting to refresh their feeds.
The outage also affected users in the United States, with over 14,000 user reports logged in the last 30 minutes, according to Downdetector.
In India, 55 per cent of outages were reported from the mobile application and 37 per cent from the website.
X experienced a similar outage in February, with services resuming an hour after the issue began.
The cause behind the brief outage and any comment from X or Elon Musk regarding the issue are still awaited.
