Golf is a contest between the player and the course, but when a back-nine scramble turns it into a virtual slugfest, it's a spectacle like no other. For Akshay Bhatia, a 24-year-old golfer, playing for his Jupiter Links Golf Club in the TGL has given him the opportunity to interact with golf legend Tiger Woods.

Bhatia, the world No.22, is fresh from winning the Arnold Palmer Invitational this month and will tee off in the Hero Indian Open DP World Tour event at the DLF Golf and Country Club this week. It will be his first event in the country of his parents' birth, where they moved from Delhi to the USA.

Bhatia has built a reputation for his resilience at the business end of golf tournaments, with all three PGA Tour wins coming via playoffs. He revealed that it takes consistent pressure to seal the deal on Sundays and that he's learned from his interactions with Woods.

When asked about his mindset, Bhatia said, 'I just apply pressure consistently. Again, the cards have to fall my way. Part of it is luck, and part of it is the pressure that I was able to put on each of those players.'

Bhatia's three playoffs were different, but he gave a glimpse into the tough mindset that has led to his PGA Tour wins. He'll be playing alongside his close friends Sahith Theegala and Sudarshan Yellamaraju in the Hero Indian Open, and fans will be cheering for all of them.
